Craft: Toddler Ideas – Valentine’s Day Crafts

I’m a sucker for anything pink or heart shaped so I really do make the most of the lead up to Valentine’s Day. We’ve been having lots of fun baking different Valentine’s treats, and here are a few Valentine’s Day crafts to try also! Everything is suitable for toddlers and young children with a little adult supervision.

Fingerprint Heart Art

Jen from The Mad House has so many brilliant craft ideas on her site, so the amount of really awesome Valentine’s Day crafts she’s got on there is no surprise! I love the idea of this fingerprint heart art canvas which would be really easy for toddlers to do but still really effective. A great gift for grandparents! Dil adored making paper chains over Christmas so I was really excited when I saw Jen’s heart shaped paper chains although I’m not sure I’m ready to let him loose with a stapler…

Valentine’s Day Love Bugs

I absolutely adore these Valentine’s Day Love Bugs from Play Learn Everyday, what a brilliant use for empty egg boxes and how sweet! Dil would love making these and playing with them after. Perfect Valentine’s Day craft for toddlers and helps them to practice a variety of skills.

 Valentine’s Day Suncatchers

Another one of my favourite sites for simple crafts for toddlers is Clare’s Little Tots. She hasn’t disappointed for Valentine’s Day and has lots of lovely ideas for under 5s. I really like the idea of these Valentine’s Day Suncatchers, made with paper plates and contact paper. It’s a great way to use up any tissue paper you have laying around and lots of fun.
